PDF & HTML
Before discussing difference between PDF and HTML we should understand the HTML. HTML means Hyper Text Markup Language. It’s a markup language which is used to create and format web pages, not for programming. In another words; HTML documents, which can be put on the internet, describe web pages.
While PDF deals with texts and images; in short contents, HTML usually deals with web pages by aiming to be published on the internet. The main difference between them is their purpose of usage. We noticed that PDF is a kind of document before. HTML is a device that we use to build web pages. In some senses they might work for same goals. For instance; if we read from web page which is written in the HTML, there won’t be any difference between reading PDF document and html document. But while we are reading PDF documents we can take notes and mark important sentences. We have relation with only the document which we read. On the contrary; we just read HTML documents and we interact some other contents like advertising and so on.
One another difference between PDF and HTML is their audience. Everybody can create, convert and read PDF documents easily by using simple applications. When it comes to HTML, it needs more ability to understanding how to write HTML documents. Programmers and web masters use HTML to build web pages productively.
